Three different jobs, one obsession:
stories, getting inside them and making sure everything works
I started out with photography, telling stories through still images, between reportage and journalism, working for agencies, newspapers, and exhibition projects, in Italy and abroad.
Then I had a revolutionary insight: images can move.
The Lumière brothers had already figured it out. I got there in my own time.
I moved on to documentaries, studying with Doc/it and with Leonardo Di Costanzo, starting out with the camera in my hand and ending up shaping the stories.
I worked with Anthony Bourdain, and I realized that food is almost always a way of getting at everything else.
For more than ten years I have been working with David Rocco on food and travel formats for National Geographic People, Food Network, and other international broadcasters, as executive producer, director, and writer.
In parallel, for over twenty years I have been working as a fixer for international productions of every kind, from science to fashion: I step into other people’s projects as if they were mine, I make sure everything holds together, I see problems coming and try to fix them before everything blows up.
A bit like Mr. Wolf, just without the sharp suit. I arrive, I understand, I fix it.
